Avoca consolidates secretary-treasurer office, approves clubhouse construction

PA AVOCA — Avoca Borough consolidates secretary-treasurer position, OKs construction payments. Council President Holly Homschek led a unanimous vote to adopt Ordinance 7 of 2026, allowing one official to hold both Borough Secretary and Treasurer titles simultaneously. The council immediately passed Resolution 7 of 2026, naming Secretary Sandra van Luvender to the consolidated role.
Council also unanimously approved construction payments totaling $152,241.80 for ongoing projects, including $22,596.30 to Pioneer Construction for Bennett Street Wall work and $129,645.50 to contractors on the Little League Clubhouse project.
