Borough consolidates Secretary and Treasurer offices

PA AVOCA — Avoca Borough consolidates two administrative offices, appointing VAN LUVENDER to dual role. The council unanimously adopted Ordinance 7 and Resolution 7 of 2026, merging the Secretary and Treasurer positions with incumbent Sandra VAN LUVENDER named to the combined Borough Secretary/Treasurer post. In related action, the council authorized Computer Reports Inc. to provide payroll services.
The meeting also approved $152,641.80 in contractor payments for ongoing projects, including $90,198 for general construction and $25,402.50 for plumbing work at the Little League Clubhouse.
