Avoca Council adopts rental occupancy ordinance

PA AVOCA — Avoca Borough Council unanimously adopts residential rental occupancy ordinance at March meeting. The council voted 7-0 to pass Ordinance 6 of 2026, which regulates residential rental units and establishes inspection and penalty provisions. The council also approved two change orders for the little league clubhouse project totaling $9,980, though the $8,780 roof replacement order drew two no votes from Council President Holly Homschek and Ken Brown.
During public comment, resident Tami Lentz raised concerns about drainage problems and rodents in a neighborhood area along the railroad.
